Anne Boykin Institute for the Advancement of Caring in Nursing
Thank you for visiting the website of the Anne Boykin Institute for the Advancement of Caring in Nursing. This Institute of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University is a global catalyst for promoting the universal visibility and significance of caring in nursing. Its mission is to provide global leadership for nursing education, practice and research grounded in caring; promote the valuing of caring across disciplines; and support the mission of the college. The Tree of Caring Knowledge, the Institute’s logo, depicts the many branches of caring science contributing to the knowledge of the discipline of nursing. All of the programs continue to add to this knowledge base.
I invite you to participate in the scholarly offerings of the Institute and welcome your ideas as to how the Institute might further its mission.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with sadness that I share with you the passing of John Packard, the loving husband of Mary Packard a member of the Board of the ABI. Mary is such a special and inspiring colleague to all of us. Mary and John have three children, Molly, Aiden and Colleen. Colleen is expecting their first grandchild, Baby Johnny, any day.
Mary, we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
