Stefan Sapiano, Freshman Direct Admit

With a passion for health and service, Stefan Sapiano chose to pursue a career in nursing. He was accepted into the Freshman Direct Admit program at FAU’s College of Nursing. “I selected FAU's College of Nursing because of its excellence in education, high NCLEX pass rate, diverse student body and nearly unparalleled support of their students on the nursing journey,” said Stefan.

Over the last five years, Stefan lived in two different continents before returning to his home state of Michigan. When beginning his journey at FAU, he did not know anymore but felt welcomed by the students, faculty and staff at the College, as well as throughout the university. To give back to those who supported him, Stefan opted to join the Student Nurses Ambassadors Program, working with incoming nursing students and helping them transition from high school to college.

Stefan is preparing to become a registered nurse and would like to seek a residency opportunity in emergency care or in an ICU unit of a hospital. He is also interested in pursuing opportunities as a nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant and would like to continue his travels throughout the United States. “I encourage all to work to be their best, take advantage of all this world has to offer, and don’t be limited by your fears but see them as challenges to become more than who you are now!”
