Florida Nurses Association Advocacy Days

The Florida Nurses Association held its annual Advocacy Days on March 17 and 18. While we normally travel to the Capitol for this event, it was held virtually this year. Several FAU DNP and undergraduate students attended the event. The students learned about the legislative bills in both the House and the Senate, and how they will impact nursing and health care. They also learned “talking points” of the bills to advocate for an affirmative or negative vote from their elected officials. Dr. Rhonda Goodman, FNA member and a member of the FNA Legislative Action Team, and several DNP students had private zoom meetings with Senator Tina Polsky and Representative Emily Slosberg.
