BOCA RATON, Fla. (May 24, 2022) – Florida Atlantic University’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing and the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center recently welcomed Patricia Liehr, Ph.D., and Debi Feiler as new board members of the Caring Hearts Auxiliary. The board supports, promotes and raises funds for the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center programs and Day Center Scholarships.

“The board will benefit from Patricia and Debi’s impressive background and experience as we expand our outreach to members of the community and pursue new initiatives,” said Terry Fedele, chair, Caring Hearts Auxiliary board. “They will support our ongoing efforts to meet the complex needs of individuals with memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease with care and compassion.”

Liehr joined the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing as a professor and the first associate dean for nursing research and scholarship in 2004. In August 2014, she left her associate dean role to assume a faculty position as a professor of nursing. She is currently professor emerita at the college, as well as a nursing research consultant at the University of Nevada’s Orvis School of Nursing.

Feiler was the vice president of program services for more than 14 years at a Boca Raton charity. Prior to joining the charity, she was an active volunteer. In her most recent role, Feiler has been involved with ticket sales and corporate sponsorship sales strategy, community relations, marketing, communications, public relations and promotional events. She also serves on the board of Tag Ranch, Park City, Utah, a nonprofit organization working with kids at risk.

The 16th annual "Keep Memories Alive" Walk at Boca Town Center is scheduled for this fall. The funds benefit the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals who have memory problems and supporting and nurturing their families.
