Florida Atlantic University is looking for volunteers in Cape Coral to help them with a study on the impacts of harmful algae on human health.

Volunteers will be asked to participate in a data collecting session where they will provide researchers with nasal swabs and blood and urine samples to test for algae toxins. Volunteers will also have to take a short survey.

The study will take place on Monday, September 26, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday, September 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you would like to participate, you must be 18-year-old or older. Each session will take between 15 and 30 minutes and will be held at the City of Cape Coral’s Public Works Department at 815 Nicholas Parkway East.

Participants will receive up to $25 in gift cards.
