Summer 2023 Pinning and Commencement Ceremonies

The College of Nursing held its Summer 2023 Pinning Ceremony on Thursday, August 3, recognizing the graduating Part-Time Second-Degree BSN track for Working Professionals (PTBSN) students for their dedicated efforts and academic achievements. Russ Ivy, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, shared words of wisdom and encouragement with the graduates.

PTBSN graduate Scania Mathieu was the student speaker and several achievement awards were distributed including Excellence in Scholarship: Chrystine D'Ambrosio; Excellence in Leadership: Scania Mathieu; Excellence in Caring: Hilde Causey; and Excellence in Service: Nick Schindler, followed by the pinning of each student with the official "Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing" pin. 

The summer session reached its finale a few days later at the Commencement Ceremony, on Tuesday, August 8, when over 100 nursing students walked across the stage to receive their degrees.
