Biography

I began my nursing journey with a deep commitment to care and compassion after graduating from Broward College. At the North Broward Medical Center (NBMC), I dedicated myself to serving in the Telemetry, Intensive Care, and Emergency Departments, and played a key role in developing the hospital’s electronic nursing documentation forms as part of the CareNet Team. This experience allowed me to make a meaningful impact on patient care in my community.

Driven by a passion for learning, I advanced my education with a Bachelor of Science from Florida International University, a Master of Science from Florida Atlantic University, and a Ph.D. from Barry University. My focus has always been on delivering patient care that combines expertise with a caring approach.

As a Nurse Educator, I am devoted to guiding students to embrace the nursing profession with competence and compassion. My teaching includes both online and in-person courses, along with hands-on learning in simulation labs and community projects that foster awareness and understanding. My research on Generation Y’s attraction to Nursing underscores the importance of reshaping the profession’s image and connecting with future nurses early in their academic journey.

In my classroom, I strive to create a caring, student-centered environment that prepares students for success in their nursing careers and beyond.
