Student Story
Kelley Jackson
Kelley Jackson, PhD nursing student, recently won first place at the 3rd annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition, presented by the FAU Graduate College, after presenting on "How Much Protein is Required to Prevent Sarcopenia?" Her advisors were Drs. Sareen Gropper and David Newman.
“We’re so proud of all of the nursing students who competed in this outstanding event,” said College of Nursing Dean Marlaine Smith. “Kelley’s work and success provides real insight on the important research and practice occurring within the College of Nursing.”
The 3MT® celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students around the world. It cultivates their research communication skills by asking them to explain their research in three minutes in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. At FAU’s event, the 3MT® included more than 100 graduate students representing each academic college at FAU.
