Tiaundra Bell, a Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing working professional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student, was named a 2022 Boca Woods Women's Club scholarship recipient. In March, Bell joined Dean Safiya George at an event the Club hosted in recognition of the College’s students and their achievements.

“I was honored to have been selected as a recipient of the Boca Woods Women’s Club Scholarship,” Bell said. “This award really meant a lot to me. Their generosity has allowed me to focus more on my studies.”

Bell currently serves as a clinical social worker, and after obtaining her BSN from Florida Atlantic University, Bell said she hopes to utilize her social work background, as well as the skills and knowledge that she has acquired in nursing school, to enhance the clinical aspects of her career.

“I hope to work as a psychiatric nurse and serve children and adolescents with psychiatric problems, and be a positive impact on their lives,” Bell explained.

Bell, a College senior, is also active in several student organizations, including the Tau Sigma Honor Society, the Tri Alpha Honor Society and First-Generation Student Success.

Following graduation in August 2022, Bell said she plans to study for the NCLEX and take at least two international trips before settling into her career.
