Somi Panday, PhD Candidate, MPH, BSN

Somi Panday is an international student from Nepal pursuing her PhD in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University. She received her BSN and her MPH from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the college of Nursing. Her program of research concerns women in Nepal who are struggling with limited access to care, and the culturally sensitive issue of urinary incontinence.

After graduation she wants to work as a nurse educator and a researcher. She is passionate about making a difference for those who are seldom heard and envision herself advocating for underrepresented women and girls for affordable and accessible education and better health.
