Karen Wisdom-Chambers, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, Assistant Professor, Florida Atlantic University Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing

Dr. Karen Wisdom- Chambers has a zest for teaching, practice and service to the community.  In her faculty role, she works with students and preceptors to ensure nurse practitioner students are placed in healthcare settings throughout South Florida so they can be engaged and receive enriched clinical experiences. As an advance practice nurse, Dr. Chambers is devoted to providing comprehensive healthcare services to residents in Palm Beach County.  Most recently, Dr. Chambers has been working with nursing students to remotely reach patients with chronic illnesses within vulnerable populations to ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. She recently joined the providers at the FAU Community Health Center, where she is providing primary healthcare services at an expanded site, located in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) and Medical Underserved Area (MUA) in West Palm Beach. Dr. Chambers is often seen in underserved neighborhoods engaging in community activities.
