Research Assistant-Undergraduate Honors Program
Katalin is earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Katalin is a Junior in the Honors Research program in FAU’s Freshman Direct Nursing Program. In the research program, Katalin will be working with her research mentor, Dr. Cheryl Krause-Parello. Katalin will be joining the C-PAWW team to research the human-animal bond within the veteran population. When not at school, Katalin works at a natural pet supplies store in Davie, Florida where she witnesses the power of the human-animal bond each day. Katalin has lived in Florida her whole life, always surrounded by companion animals--specifically dogs. Currently she has two rescue dogs of her own, Atlas and Cesar, who help relieve the anxiety and stress that comes with being a nursing student. Katalin enjoys volunteering at animal rescues, spending time with and training her dogs, and gardening cacti and succulents.
