Biography
I graduated in 1999, from the National School of Nursing (ENIP), Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I Immigrated to South Florida, right after graduation and decided to start over with my nursing education. I have worked for five years as an LPN at an acute care hospital, prior to earning my registered nurse license, in 2008 at Miami Dade College. During my career, I have been a preceptor, and mentor for my novice and seasoned nurses. I currently work as a nurse leader and I have been in the position for more than seven years at West Kendal Baptist Hospital. Throughout my career, I have set up the stage for clinical excellence by lending a hand to the clinical nurse educator on my unit to assist with the nurses' competencies. My goals went on behind the hospital walls by nurturing the ideas to help strengthen nursing students' critical thinking skills which was the reason I joined the nursing education program at Florida Atlantic and graduated with my MSN, in 2021. Evidently, I followed my passion by accepting a position as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University, then went on and became a visiting Instructor at the Davie, Campus.
