Diane is currently a doctoral candidate in the PhD program at FAU. Her nursing experience has predominately been in critical care with the pediatric population including pediatric medical surgical, PICU, pediatric hematology/oncology, pediatric/adult urgent care and pediatric/adult emergency room. Additionally, she worked for two years as a trauma nurse research coordinator and continues her work as a research consultant for various facilities throughout the US. Her teaching experience includes pediatric didactic, simulation and clinical to both ADN and BSN students; as well as, teaching evidence based practice and nursing research to BSN students.
Diane has had a wide variety of experience before entering nursing including joining the Peace Corps after graduating from the University of Delaware. She spent approximately 3 years working in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan with a non-governmental organization called the Union for Nuclear Test Victims and as an English as second language teacher. Upon returning to the United States she enrolled in the Master’s in Public Health Program (MPH) at Tulane University in New Orleans. While she was completing her MPH in Maternal and Child Health and Health Education she decided to enter the BSN program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center graduating in 2001.
