Biography

Dr. Rebecca S. Koszalinski’s clinical practice, teaching, research, and service are centered on researching the application of technological solutions to improving the health of older adults. Among other professional designations, she is a Fellow (FARN)  Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) and a founding member and Fellow of the Society of Nurses, Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Leaders (SONSIEL; FIEL). After completion of a BSN at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, an MS in Education and Ph.D. at Florida Atlantic University, she was appointed an Assistant Professor appointment at the University of Tennessee, followed by an Associate Professor appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). At FAU, Dr. Koszalinski is funded to lead a collaborative and highly specialized team of research scientists to discover health outcomes of exposure to Harmful Algal Blooms, a unique and pressing problem for Floridians.
